Guide to European funds 2014: all activated programs.

The European Union has defined a budget of 960 billion Euros for development and employment. The time period considered goes from 2014 to 2020. We review all major programs activated. There are programs for competitiveness, smart and inclusive growth (125.6 billion Euros), programs for the economic, social and territorial cohesion (325 billion Euros), for sustainable growth: natural resources (373 billion Euros), for safety and citizenship (15.6 billion Euros) and another 58 billion for the role of Europe in the world.

These programs, which belong to European funds, are regulated by specific instruments designed to regulate the general and specific objectives, duration and the allocation of financial resources. Other related issues are addressed: eligible activities, eligible entities, implementation methods, and so on. The programs allow to transform into concrete actions the strategic objectives and priorities of EU policies over the next seven years, i.e. the period from 2014 to 2020.

Guide to European funds 2014: Europe 2020. Community programs are structured in accordance with the aims of the strategy “Europe 2020” and are able to finance the objectives set out in the schedule Europe 2020. These are the Europe 2020 objectives: Financing the common policies such as the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). Support the development of weaker regions by applying the principle of solidarity. Completing the Internal Market. Promote synergies, cooperation and large-scale projects in the fields of research, innovation or justice. Responding to the challenges that require a common approach (e.g. climate change, demographic change or humanitarian disasters)
